Supported by Shivam Dube’s quickfire 33 and Sanju Samson’s steady 24, Varma steered India home with two balls to spare. Rinku Singh sealed the title with a boundary, sparking jubilant celebrations.
Earlier, Pakistan appeared well-placed at 113-1 before suffering a dramatic collapse, folding for just 146 in 19.1 overs. The Indian bowlers tightened the screws brilliantly, setting the stage for a tense yet triumphant chase.The win marked India’s ninth Asia Cup crown and only their second in the T20 format after 2016.
