Yadav, who last represented India in the T20I series against England in February, shared an update on his successful surgery via social media, expressing his eagerness to return to the cricket field.

In his social media post, Suryakumar Yadav confirmed the surgery, stating, "Underwent surgery for a sports hernia in the lower right abdomen. Grateful to share that after a smooth surgery, I'm already on the road to recovery. Can't wait to be back."

The surgery follows Suryakumar Yadav's notable performance in the recent Indian Premier League (IPL), where he showcased exceptional batting prowess for the Mumbai Indians. He amassed 717 runs in 16 innings, establishing himself as the second-highest run-scorer in the tournament.

His most recent international appearance was in India's five-match T20I series against England, which concluded in early February. The timing of his surgery and subsequent recovery period aligns with India's current five-match Test series against England.
