Zimbabwe is gearing up to host Sri Lanka in a series of white-ball cricket matches, featuring two One Day Internationals (ODIs) and three Twenty20 Internationals (T20Is). All five matches are scheduled to take place at the Harare Sports Club in Harare, commencing on August 29.

Givemore Makoni, the Managing Director of Zimbabwe Cricket, expressed his enthusiasm for the upcoming series. "We are delighted to confirm Sri Lanka's visit to Zimbabwe for what we expect to be a thrilling and competitive series," he stated.
The T20I series holds particular significance for Zimbabwe as it precedes the ICC Men's T20 World Cup Africa Regional Final. Zimbabwe will host the tournament starting September 19, which presents them with an opportunity to secure a spot in the ICC Men's T20 World Cup 2027.
Makoni further added, "Matches between our two nations have always produced entertaining cricket, and this tour comes at a crucial time for our team as we prepare for the upcoming T20 World Cup qualifying campaign."
This series is part of a busy three-month schedule for the Zimbabwe cricket team, which includes hosting South Africa and New Zealand for two-match Test series. Additionally, a T20I tri-series featuring all three nations is planned.
