Dr. Dinshaw Pardiwala, the doctor who oversaw Pant's recovery after his serious car accident in December 2022, shared his thoughts on the viral celebration. In a statement to The Telegraph, Dr. Pardiwala noted, "Rishabh trained as a gymnast. Although he looks large, he is quite agile, and he does have a lot of flexibility. And, that’s why he’s been doing those somersaults of late. It’s a well-practised and perfected move — unnecessary though!”

Pant's return to cricket has been truly remarkable. On December 30, 2022, he was involved in a near-fatal car accident while driving from Delhi to Roorkee. He lost control of his vehicle, resulting in multiple injuries that sidelined him for several months.
