Bollywood actress Esha Gupta has finally addressed the long-standing rumors surrounding her connection with Indian cricketer Hardik Pandya. In a recent interview with Siddharth Kannan, Gupta shed light on their brief interaction, clarifying that it never evolved into a serious relationship.
Gupta revealed that they were in contact for a few months but cited compatibility issues and poor timing as the primary reasons for their association ending prematurely.
"Yeah, for some time we were talking. I don't think we were dating, but yeah, we were talking for a couple of months," Gupta stated, emphasizing the limited scope of their interaction. She further elaborated that they met "once or twice" and remained in a "maybe it will happen, maybe it won't" stage. Ultimately, "things fizzled out quickly" before reaching the dating phase.
The actress emphasized that the conclusion of their communication was amicable, devoid of any complications. "There was no drama or bitterness," she asserted. "It just wasn't meant to be."
Gupta also addressed Pandya's controversial appearance on Koffee With Karan in 2019, confirming that their communication had already ceased by that point. "That part didn't affect me because we had already stopped talking by then," she explained.
Moreover, Gupta revealed her conscious decision to abstain from adding to the criticism surrounding Pandya's appearance on the show. "They were already going through enough. What good would it do if I jumped in with more criticism?" she reasoned.
Currently, Hardik Pandya is not participating in the Indian cricket team's five-match Test tour of England. His next anticipated appearance for the Indian team is against Bangladesh in August.
