The latest ICC Test rankings showcase significant movement following compelling performances in both Test and T20I cricket. Rishabh Pant of India and Ben Duckett of England are the biggest movers, achieving career-best rankings after impressive displays in the first Test of the Anderson-Tendulkar Trophy at Headingley.
Rishabh Pant has surged to seventh place in the ICC Test batting rankings after scoring centuries in both innings at Headingley. His scores of 134 and 118 made him only the second wicketkeeper in Test history, after Andy Flower, to achieve this feat. Pant is also the first Indian wicket-keeper batter to cross 800 rating points in Test history.
Joe Root remains the top-ranked Test batter, with Harry Brook close behind. Shubman Gill of India climbed five places to 20th after his century in the first innings.
India's Jasprit Bumrah continues to lead the ICC Test bowling rankings, maintaining his position after taking another five-wicket haul at Headingley. Ben Stokes of England advanced three places to claim the No. 5 spot in the Test all-rounder rankings.
In the T20I rankings, Michael Levitt from the Netherlands jumped 16 places to 14th after a series of consistent performances during the tri-series in Glasgow. Brandon McMullen of Scotland also made headway, rising 20 spots to joint 38th.
The ICC rankings serve as a key indicator of individual performance and continue to reflect the evolving landscape of international cricket.
